Dear BNS Families,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have been showing up to support the school in so many ways this Fall. We've seen you "oooh-ing" and "ahhh-ing" at classroom shares, chaperoning field trips, helping at Kindergarten Lunch, creating beauty with the Arts Committee, rocking out at BNS Fest, writing grants and newsletters and social media content, making donations, participating in SLT and PTA meetings, selling fresh, affordable produce at the Farm Stand (and yummy treats at the Bake Sale), and so much more. The school and our kids are better for all of your efforts and we are so grateful.

Open Library is Back - Starts 10/29/24

After school on Tuesdays 2:30pm-3:30pm. BNS students bring your adults up to our library room 401 for books, games, homework, and community!

We’re excited to announce that the Office of Council Member Shahana Hanif and the President’s Council of District 15 are hosting the 16th Annual Fun Run on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Lefrak Center in Prospect Park. Bib pickup starts at 9 AM, with the race beginning at 10 AM.

You are invited to a fabulous soirée featuring the musical talents of our own BNS families! Join us on Saturday, October 26th from 5-10pm at one of Brooklyn’s coolest music venues, Mama Tried located at 787 3rd Ave in Sunset Park, for our very first BNSFest, a benefit concert for Brooklyn New School.

Join Friends of BNS for a Welcome (Back) party for BNS parents & friends on Friday, September 27th from 6 - 10pm at Fulton Hall in Fort Greene. 

The 2024 BNS/BCS FALL BOOK FAIR is scheduled to be held in the HEALTH STUDIO, ROOM 124, from 8:10 am – 4:00 pm, from MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, to THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26.

There will be Special Hours at the 2024 BNS/BCS FALL BOOK FAIR from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm, on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24.

Celebrate the end of the school year at our family dance party KidChellaStock next Friday, May 17! We will have food, music, dancing, dress up, and art activities! All are welcome!

BNS Spring Fling on Thursday, May 23. Join other BNS grown-ups for a night of dining, dancing, and supporting the Brooklyn New School.
